Description
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural.
We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced.
In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer.
Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.

26/12 A 0.33 l bottle from L’Espumossa, Barcelona. It poured lovely, hazy darker copper body with big ivory head. Sweet fruity and caramel malt aroma. Flavor was also sweet, caramel and fruits, some lactic notes and maybe touch of herbal hops. I couldn’t detect anise spice. Full, cloying body with long, sweet, caramel and a bit chalky finish. Although I didn’t like it as much as Marko did, it was certainly a very nice winter beer.

2012 vintage. Huge thanks heavy for bringing this from Barcelona! Poured a slightly brownish amber-red with a small off white head that went away slowly. Lovely fruity-spicey malty peach jam & plum nose, just lovely, some coffee-like roastiness, light caramel. Wow. The taste is nicely malty, carrying some light roastiness and is every bit as pleasant as the nose, fruity aromatics galore from the spice and the hops I guess, interesting bitterness, some orange rind. Wow... just wow. Shame early incarnations of this bring it down so much, this is a brilliant winter beer that deserves more recognition!

24/11 0.33 l bottle from L’Espumossa, Barcelona. It poured hazy golden body with small head. Weak chalk, citrus and milk aroma. Fine wheat flavors, banana, biscuit sweet, while herbal and citrus hops led own politics. Medium bodied, smooth, with long, slightly acidic wheat finish. A decent light wheat, quite similar to German Hefeweizen with some extra hops.

Bottled. An unclear yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of wet hay and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dusty hops, wet hay, and malt, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
