Draught at Europen Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Hazy bronze colour, average sized head. Concentrated hay aroma - even though I know that no Czech hops are used (it’s mostly American if I remember correctly) I get moer associations to saaz than anything else. Dryish and soft with generous body. The hop flavour is quite dtrong and leads to a lasting but not assaulting bitterness. The reason why I find this beer so great is that it combines the soft malt profile of Czech beers with new days microbrewing hop levels.

Draught Head gone in secs; pale clear beer. Smells like fermenting lager! Then hops, at last, and a bit buttery. In the taste it resembles a good UK IPA; UK hops, dry finish. Dry, very attenuated beer, good. I repeat: NOT a USA IPA - a British one... with very lager yeast-like characteristics.

(6/27/08) Draught at Vinarna Hrozen in Plzen. Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of some yeast and decent grassy hoppiness. A rather dry flavor with nice hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. A nice Pilsener.

On draught in Praha-Žižkov: Golden coloured with a big, relatively quickly collapsing white head with a little lace, delicate, but distinctive aromatic hoppy nose covering some fruity malt, light to medium bodied, light to medium clean sweet and bitter flavour, pale malt and aromatic hops, almost with a touch of smoke, in the short finish. O.K., but not overwhelming..........(7/3/6/3/12) Draught @ RBESG 08, Plzen: Very distinctive herbal-flowery hops in the nose; mid-sized, stable creamy white head; robust dry bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; hops are always present in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Great Bohemian Pilsener........

A bit hazy golden yellow color, small creamy head. Strong banana aroma. Light- a bit too watery for my liking. Some banana flavors, crisp carbonation and quick finish.
