Originally rated July 2005. This south-american brew smells like skunk as soon as you pop open the cap. Maybe this one was sitting in the store I bought it, for a long time. The glass is clear. Pours a pale yellow colour with a white foam-cream head that leaves lacing. Can’t smell much other then the mild skunk that is left after breathing. The mouthfeel is quite good though. Very creamy. The taste is very smooth, not really bitter, but still a bit of edge. Grain malt stays in the aftertaste. Much better then Corona.

Enjoyed from bottle with a good friend at the Blind Robin in Chicago, IL. Appearance is black with no head. Aroma mostly roasted malt, not much else. Taste is standard. Nothing to write home about.

One of wife’s Christmas gifts for me. Pours dark brown/black thin head. Tastes of brown sugar, licorice, light spruce, mild bitterness. Medium bodied and silky texture. In like it.

Had a strong taste of alcohol, a decent funk to it that I thought odd for a Brazilian beer. Then I looked at the bottle and the expiry date was 2005! Well, anyway, if anything it helped the beer a little. Your average Brazilian pale lager couldn’t get much worse.

Had at Sweet Revenge a place that pairs cupcakes with beer and wine. This is quite an odd choice of beer to have. Pours yellow, with herbal sweet aroma. Tastes of banana, metallic, hay, and grains. Not great

Bottle from trade with Leighton. Pitch black, opaque color, medium sized beige head. Smell lightly sweet and malts. Taste sweet, somehow some oatmeal as well, slightly some roastyness. Decent carbonation, average body. Decent beer.

Bottle @ home, picked up in KC. Clear, golden yellow appearance with a white head. Golden, grainy, corny, pale malty, mild grassy hoppy aroma. Sweet yet fairly bitter, corn, pale malty bland pale lager flavor. Same old, bland international pale lager.
