Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.

Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

Dark brown color, small tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate and some hops in the nose. Bitterish, chocolaty flavor. Atlhough I can find some "edge" here, it is not propably juniper but something else. As such drinkable roasty stout, juniper is a marketing gimmick.

Cloudy light orange with little head. Citrus, peach other tropical fruits and a hint of hops in the aroma. Very sweet flavour with a hint of alcohol. Too sweet for me, but I’m not much of a tripel lover.

Hazy red color, steady creamy off-white head. Aroma has yeast, chocolate, toffee, caramel and bread. Toffeish malty with yeasty background. First Gold is evident in the finish and aftertaste. Drinkable and interesting enough.

Brownish black with a creamy and lasting off-white head. Deep caramel aroma with roast malt and molasses. Sweet caramel flavour some roast malt. More flavourful than I would have expected from a schwarz.

Hazy orange with a small white head. Aromas of honey, flowers, fresh hops. Quite sweet flavour, but it does have bitterness kicking in later, and staying for some time.
