Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.
Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

Black color; generous, beige creamy head. Light aroma of malt and roasted malt. Medium body structure; flavor of caramel, malt, liquorice, light roasted malt. Well made; the residual sweetness makes of it a balanced Stout, pleasant to drink.

Draught, 6-3-6-3-13=31
Light amber color. Very light aroma from the orange blossom. Soft flavor, some malt, light fruitness (like orange peel). Not bad.
Bottle, 7-3-7-3-14=34
From the bottle, the aroma of orange blossom is stronger. The flavor is similar, but with a touch of chestnut flowers’ honey.
Courtesy of bager.

Draught
Hazy dark amber color with red shades; creamy head. Malty aroma, when the malt is similar to fruits and candy. Smooth mouthfeel, some sweet caramel, but poor. A strong final with a hint of honey.

On tap at "Carlsens skvatter", Odense: Unclear dark black with creamy white head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts - swetness. Little chocolate. Medium Ok filling body. Some bread/butter notes. Finish is allround pleasant with an easy bitterness! OK
Earlier Rating: 5/8/2006 Total Score: 3.1
Sort sol: On tap at Carlsens Kvarter(Odense). Black Schwarzbier with little white head. A little creamy with a very silky smooth feel when it first enters the mouth. However the body is kind of light. The finish is rather funny and tasts a bit like butter. Low carbonation. Only OK!
