Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.
Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

0.44l can, thx H! Shared with Hrabren and Ogi. Murky reddish brown body, off-white thick head. Dried fruit esters seeped out as the beer was poured, but a more woody presence, oaky starts dominating as it settles, not bad! Lean, dry taste, surprisingly empty, low fruity touches, some oaky woody touches as well, bit minerally, very well hidden alcohol. Dunno, the base Belgian isn't the greatest I guess or it got too dried out with time, light astringency, low refermentation phenols... Not thrilled but can be drunk.
