Description
We started a Brewery as a means to contribute to a truly artisan craft. We believe in friendship before finance and are happy to help others in this industry as we have been helped by those who came before us. We are bold believers in the fact that a well made beer can cool your spirit and warm your soul.

Our flagship Mason Ale Works production brewery opened in 2017 at our San Marcos Urge Common House Location. Here JJ “Sweet Meat” Jimenez, our Director of Brewing Operations, helms the wheel. All of our can releases like our popular Jambi West Coast IPA and Respeto Mexican Lager are brewed and canned in these four walls. We also crank out an extensive line-up of one-off releases out of here.

Aromas are slightly old resin hops, cut grass and a touch of citrus. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation with a slightly sweet finish. Okay but not great beer.

Can. Clear amber with smallish white head. Boiled lemon lolly aroma with some mango skin and light biscuit. Only nudging up on medium bodied. Light sweet biscuity malt with first citrus then pine before a fairly bitter finish. Cheerful if a bit crude.

From a pint can. Pours a mod clear pale gold with a white head. Aromas of peach and pineapple. Flavors are on the sweet side as one would expect from a 10.5% beer.

Can. Almost opaque orange with a good cm of white head. Shy aroma of tinned fruit compote, some herbs. I suppose there's a bit of white grape in the taste but mainly low key stone fruit. Slightly grassy at the modestly bitter finish. OKish if strong for what it offers. The distinctive vibrant character of Nelson Sauvin is remarkably well hidden.

Can. Pours a somewhat hazy copper orange hue with a small white head. Sweet, very malty nose. Caramel, toast, lots of resin and bitter hops. Big, flavorful. Fun beer. Love the label.

The aromas are grapefruit, dry grass, straw with a little bit of resin and melon. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, grapefruit stands out, a little on the sweet side with low bitter and good carbonation to balance. Very satisfying beer.
