(Can) Pours cloudy amber with slight off-white head. Lovely pine and citrus aroma. Great palate - plenty of body with bright and fine carbonation give lively and velvety feel. Excellent taste, especially the big change through the palate. Starts off with tangy citrus fruitiness and pine over some gentle caramel sweetness, the fruitiness drops away through themid platate with hints if biscuity malt and then the hoppy bitterness comes to the fore and remains for a long time. The alcohol is well hidden but gives some nice bite. Excellent.

Tried at the Strait and Narrow, Lincoln. Just off black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma thick molasses and roasted malt. Taste is rich roasted malt toffee and chocolate. A touch cold and gassy maybe but rich and full flavour.

Can from Beer Zoo. Hazy golden/amber body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, caramel and grapefruit. Flavour of pine needles and mandarin. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Mouth-tinglingly hoppy and bitter. On a side note, the top of Pirate Life’s can designs, which detail the process and ingredients, are very cool.

Can from Beer Zoo. Hazy orange body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and parma violets. Flavour of pink watermelon sweets, blood orange and tomato juice. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. The hops really shine in this. A great IPA.

(Can) Pours hazy amber brown with short lived white head. Intense lovely aroma of tropical fruit with pine notes. Medium body with restrained but bright carbonation. Well balanced taste with lots going on. There’s a good malt backbone giving hints of biscuity sweetness. The start is fresh and tropical fruity. Full, interesting, but not mouth puckering, hoppy bitterness develops and hangs around for a long finish. A great beer.

slightly opalescent dark golden to orange colour, minimal creamy off-white head aroma and taste of pine resins, biscuits, tropical fruity notes, some floral honey and...and something what makes you fully aware that you are now drinking a BEER; great IIPA!

355ml can in Mason & Company (Hackney Wick, London) on 11th March 2017. Really enjoyed it. Orange/amber body with a mini haze: decent head of lasting white bubbles. Tropical fruits abound in both the nose and flavour, slight citrus bitterness below the surface but otherwise fairly sweet (in a fruity way). Easy drinking brew with enough about it to keep me interested until the last drop.
