Can. Clear orangish amber with a white head. Aroma of sticky bread crust with some spices and orange. Dully sweet with modest nagging bitterness. Lifeless , lacks complexity.

Can. Just unclear gold with a fading whiter head. Aroma of kumquat, grilled peach, bread. Sweet and peachy with gentle citrus towards a fairly bitter off-dry finish. Interesting hop but not quite the right combination?

Can. Murky orange with a fading white head. Gentle caramelised citrus aroma with bread, hints of booze and menthol. So it tastes with alcohol getting towards strident at the fairly bitter end. OK, but just a strong beer really.

Aromas of lemon, pine needles, orange peel, nuts and bread. A pretty restrained WCIPA in the mouth. I wouldn't have minded a little more puckering at the end.

Can. Very dark brown with a loose light tan head. Aroma of chocolate brioche, biscuit, caramel. Not all that sweet but a little too obviously flavoured. Roast, caramel, bitterness that’s enough to hold things together. OK.

Can. Clear gold, white head. Aroma of orange, red berries, glacé pineapple, grainy bread. Seems plainly sweet at first then glissandos through sweet citrus and berries until a brief modestly bitter finish.

Can. Pale yellow gold with a large white head that doesn’t last. Floaty aroma of cracker dough, spices, white nectarines, old lemons. So it tastes. Dryish, light bodied, fizzy. Crackers, slightly shoe- polishy funk meeting nectarines, bitter at the oaky end. Subtle additions and (Chardonnay?) barrel suit me very well.
