Bottle 50 cl. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a lacing, off-white head. Fruity, estery Belgian yeast aroma. Medium body, some initial, fruity sweetness and plenty of bubblegum. Ends dry though. For a style I usually care very little about, this is quite decent and drinkable. 231120

Dark golden with a lasting white head. Belgian yeasty aroma with spice and bubblegum. Medium sweet flavour with malt and far too much yeast for my taste.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruit, malt, and Belgian yeast. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, dried fruits, Belgian yeast, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

25 cl. bottle from tasting box. slighly hazy yellow, white head. mild slighly hoppy and slightly herbal aroma. the mild hops are flowers, faint pine, faint grapefruit. flavor is moderately hoppy notes, a little bit of a bitterness bite from european style hops, mild rounded malty balance. very crisp, mineral water. pretty decent mild ordinary beer with a bit of mineral water and a bit of hoppy bitterness.

25cl bottle from taster box from nemlig.com clear brown, small light brown head. aroma is somewhat heavy on butter, also dark dried fruits, malts. a buttery classic aroma. flavor is butter, faint malts, faint flowery or citrussy hops, alc. bitterness ending, a somewhat boring classic, i much prefer royal (non ecological) classic or jakobsen viva classic. tastes a little bit (the herbal notes and the butter) as something did not go entirely well.

tl;dr : boring but well brewed beer, that certainly does not at all look like or taste like the other NEIPA i have tasted. But it tastes and looks like any other skands boring beer. (rant:on) 25cl bottle from tasting box. The skands beers i have tasted so far the last many years have been extremely underhopped , so little hops that their beer seems to be crazy boring and more or less as boring as industrial macro beer, only nicer labels and higher prices. boooooring. So i am looking forward to this hazy ipa, who knows, perhaps it is not just the marketing department calling it something hoppy, perhaps they actually tried to boost the ibu to a level discernibly above water. color is a nice nearly clear orange (not very hazy) white head. aroma is slightly grassy and herbal, with some mild ipa style hops below that. (made with cascade citra and mosiac) and a crisp mild malty base. very mild, but aroma is okay, just very very mild. flavor is mild hoppy with some grass and hay, some flowers, then the crisp malts kick in with a dry malty base. also some sweet yellow fruits in there, could be the cascade hops. i would not expect beer tasters to guess NEIPA, they would probably guess mexican lager, but the flavor is a bit more pronounced than most other skands beers. The quality is fine, the beer is well balanced, it reminds me of a good fresh english ipa made like they made them before craft beer took off. perhaps classic english ipa would be a name better fitting the flavor profle, even though the hops are american. Skands ought to make a sub-brand where they put a lot more taste into their beers. Don't break the current brand which i think is known for well made, but tasteless boing beer, but make a new brand. You know how to brew, please do some for the geeks too, there are literally thousands of industrial macro breweries doing what you do flavor wise, what's the point? (rant:off)

0.25cl bottle from tasting box pours a red brownish with an offwhite ligt light brown head. aroma is citussy, dark fruity, flat ale , faint malty note, sort of belgian yeasty doughy note. kinda weird. flavor is very oxidized, citrussy or fruity, decent malty balance, not very hopped at all, alc. gives whatever little bitterness there is. a 5.1% beer that most of all tastes like a non-alc beer. not so good.
