06/12 0.33 l bottle from La Birreria, Andorra La Vella, as Alpha Eagle. It poured almost clear golden body with smaller head (yeast wasn’t poured in, advice for all to do the same for all beers of this brewery). Real herbal hops aroma, which is a novelty for Alpha. Flavor was chalky, hay, bread, quite bitter herbal, but sour as well. Rather thin bodied with long, slightly bitter hop and somewhat sourish finish. Quite yeasty, although aroma was probably cleanest of all Alphas and I didn’t consider it so much flawed. Refreshing.

03/12 0.33 l bottle from La Birreria, Andorra La Vella. It poured hazy orange brownish body with small white head. No matter I left majority of yeast inside, as learned their lesson, it had very yeasty aroma with some sourish hops. Lightly sweet and a bit more sour flavor, flower malts with lemon and herbal hops, some vinegar and old yeast of course. Not toasted at all, unlike Torrada beer with very similar label. Medium bodied. Short, but quite fine finish, cleaner, buttery, citric. Another very messy, unfinished beer, but at least drinkable.

Enormous thanks to heavy for bringing this to me and ogivlado! My first Andorran beer, yay! It poured a dark brown/black body with a tiny off white head. Lovely nose - sweet, dark malts, chocolate, gets a touch stale, but it’s nicely full. Empty taste, no way this is 8.5% - unless they’ve fermented it out completely and somehow managed to avoid the taste of alcohol. Light maltiness, light chocolate and more sourness than it should be. The maltiness, what’s left of it, is pleasant, and this beer is hardly unappealing, but it’s off because of the sourness. Shame, hope they improve!

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Nisse666. Thanks a bunch! Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a brown head. Chocolate malty, pickle, light coffee, a bit fruity aroma. Tangy berry fruity, chocolate, light coffee flavor. Very strangely flavored.

24/11 A 0.33l bottle from La Birreria, Andorra La Vella. One of the two weird "elaborada por" Alpha beers with cheap homemade label which gets unreadable on the first touch with water. This one poured hazy copper to brown body with small head. Weak caramel and herbal hops aroma, yeasty and quite weird with some acidic notes. Flavor was somewhere between bitter and sweet with caramel, toasted malts and some herbal hops which were more pronounced towards its finish. Yeast is noted as earthiness, but did not ruined it. Medium bodied. Not only drinkable, but quite decent, unlike the other beer of similar "line".

23/11 0.33 l bottle from La Birreria, Andorra La Vella. Label smeared as soon as it caught some condensation. It pours muddy brown body with small head. Quite sour hop and somewhat smoked aroma. Flavor was lightly sour and lightly sweet, caramel, a bit smoked in alkaline ashy way. Thin in body with short, chalky, earthy and somewhat bready finish. Should not have been released, they did not have any idea what to do with this brew, all messed up.

22/11 0.33 l bottle @ La Birreria, Andorra La Vella. It poured clear (!) dark brown body with medium sized lighter brown head. Coffee aroma, touch of sour hops. Flavor was, first of all, watery, somewhat sour from the roasted malt, bitter and sweet as well. Coffee was dominating the flavor, simple, clean, effective. Some sourness was also present in the finish, although it’s more bitter towards the aftertaste. A decent dark beer, although nothing great. And, again, you start to doubt about the alcohol content.

22/11 0.33 l bottle @ La Birreria, Andorra La Vella. It poured muddy copper body with medium sized head. A bit stale fruity and caramel aroma, also yeasty. Flavor was sweetish, toasted malt, somewhat herbal hoppy but lost in yeast earthiness. It also dampened the body to thinner. At least alcohol was well hidden, a consumer asks himself is it still nearly around 8%. A messed up beer, not bad, but expected much more. Advice, for all their beers: try not to pour yeast with the rest, unlike usual.

Cloudy blond color with no head. The aroma shows light sourness, the flavor too; lemony malt; ordinary bitterness.
Not fully offensive, but flawed nevertheless.

Cloudy amber color, with small head, quickly disappearing. The aroma is lightly sour, with some caramel. The mouthfeel is thin; there is some caramel and cereals flavor, and a light lemony sourness.
Like the previous one, not offensive, but flawed.
