From a growler shared at the DC RB gathering Memorial Day weekend 2017. Pours a clear amber with an off white head. Malty aroma. Flavors of sweet caramel and bread.

Sampler at the brewery. Clear caramel color. Lots of malt sweet without sugariness and yet a clean lager flavor. Caramel, toasty, but clean finish with some dry lagering. Hard to find a place that makes a decent lager and Belgian beer.

Sampler at the brewery. Dark gold color. Light pear esters but generaly low esters. A bit sweet sugar with light gritty maltiness. A very enjoyable version of the beer and missing many of the trapping often found in American versions.

Sampler at the brewery and then a growler to go. Clear brown color. Aroma is fruity yeast, grape, rum raisin bread. Flavor is a bit sweet but not overly estry. Finish lighter with a dry, earthy, black bread.

At the source: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is light toffee and malt. Taste is fairly bitter and dry for a bitter ale. Powerful for its size. Lingering bitter aftertaste.
