Black with no head. Sharp and slightly sour aroma clashing with the lightly smokey malts. Flavours of chocolatey malts and sour limes clash but it’s absolutely not offensive. Just weird.

Hazy, dark yellow colour. Slight herbiness in the aroma. Flavour has massive amounts of herbs and spices. Gale. Clove. Probably many more.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy almost opaque orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste are extremely floral -but in a wrong way, plant like- herbal and spicy. Oh my, not my thing at all.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Dark brown color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, a hint of roast, sweetish lightly, lightly bitter as well. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice, not your regular barley wine. - Note: brewer changed style to Belgian Strong Ale. ABV may vary from 8-9.5%.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Very hazy orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, slightly salty, some grains in the distance. Hard to describe this one, but I don’t dislike it. Dry finish, decent body and carbonation. Interesting brew.
