In 2018, they merged with Spey Valley Brewery, but each brewery brews on separate sites.

Bottle shared at THT, thanks! Clear orange brown with no head. Aroma of toffee, cheesy malt, caramel and booze. Flavour is heavy sweet. Light medium bodied with near flat carbonation.

33cl bottle shared at March THT. No head. Clear amber pour. A bit thin for a barley wine.

Bottle thanks to the brewer. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Espresso like. Nose - tonnes of coffee and milk chocolate. Taste - more coffee intermingled with milk chocolate. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - a decent stout. Coffee dominates but not overbearing.

Bottle thanks to brewer. Appearance - golden with a decent head. It disappears fast. Nose - lemon and malt. Taste - more of the same. A bit like a Kolsch but some banana coming through. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - it is a decent beer but not necessarily as creamy as I’d hoped for from the style.

Bottle at Craig’s, thanks to Keith’s only homer – BenH. It pours clear golden amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, strawberry, raspberry, earth and candy. The taste is crisp, tart strawberry, tangy red fruits, jam, citrus peel and earth with a fry, tangy fruit finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty OK for a fruit beer and one of the best of Keith’s beers to date.

Bottle at Craig’s, thanks to Keith’s only homer – BenH. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, porridge, floral action, honeysuckle and a hint of citrus peel. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, herbal, grass, peppery spice, cheap perfume and some nasty burnt rubber vibe that seems to overtake everything else after a while. Medium body and average carbonation. The aroma is not bad, but the taste is pretty awful. This needs a good deal of work.

Bottle at Craig’s, thanks to Keith’s only homer – BenH. It pours clear pissy gold with a medium white head. The nose is rather mellow, white bread, cracker, cereal and dull sweet banana. The taste is soft, mellow banana, straw, wheaten bread, hay, apple and soft fruits with a smooth finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Can’t say filtered wheat beer is my favourite style, but there is nothing wrong with this juan. Okay.

Bottle at Craig’s, thanks to Keith’s only homer – BenH. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The nose is soft, sweet, lemon – lime, lemon parfait, straw, cracker and unfortunately some sweetcorn. The taste is crisp, bitter- sweet, dusty, a bit chewy, biscuit, a touch of stringency and not much else. Finish is short and a bit sweet. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A couple of off-notes about this one, but not as feared.
