Draft at Uncle Sam's. Medium amber, hazy, small tight head. Light malty aroma, taste picks up a bit with some hop bitterness. Still primarily malty, with some nice earthy hops to finish.

On tap at Shrub Steppe, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa, oats and light roast. Flavour is robust and full-bodied, with heavy roasted malt, oats and dry cocoa. Full-bodied and wonderfully balanced. Excellent.

On tap at Shrub Steppe, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some floral notes, biscuity malt and a little cleaner product. Flavour is very restrained, with light hopping and biscuity malt. Unadventurous but it works. Clean but boring.

On tap at Shrub Steppe, pours a hazy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, banana and clove. Flavour is very banana heavy, with toasted bready notes. Finishes with lots of fruity esters. It's okay - too fruity and banana-heavy without enough roasted / toasted malt.

On tap at Shrub Steppe, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light funk, some banana and some spicy clove. Flavour brings out some tart citrus upfront, with some saison yeast and unfortunate banana fruity esters. Too fruity and estery but not too bad.

On tap at Shrub Steppe, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal notes and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is very fresh and authentic tasting, with crisp crackery malt and cereal malt. Fresh, crisp and clean. Quite nice.
