Description
We are George, Aggelos and George. In 2010 we started as a group home brewers. The only we had in our hands, was our taste, sufficient knowledge on how to make our own pure beer and above all, desire to experiment in new beer recipes. Driven by passion and love, and in compliance with all standards, we decided to create our own microbrewery. The Standard Microbrewery of Thessaloniki. We gathered a night in order to find a name for our beer. Tasting beer trying to inspire something really special. We didn’t find the name. But we became… SKNIPA (a Greek expression for being drunk).

Bottle shared at home, bought at Beer Corner, Athens, batch #2. Pours dark amber with fair, lasting, off-white head. Good lacing, medium body, no particles, somehow oily mouthfeel, soft dry lasting aftertaste. Malty on the nose, with notes of pine, and maybe hints of summer fruits like apricot. Citrus peel, caramel, pine, soft and sweet malts. Balanced amounts of hoppy bitterness and caramel sweetness, average alcohol levels . Drinkable, enjoyable, and a very good first attempt by Sknipa Microbrewery.
