Inky purple, big wine character, oak, funky yeast notes. Super dank, deep red wine character. Nice tannins, full body. A good winter supper. Amazing balance. Had against st lam and this delivers

Fast gone white head over pinkish orange beer. Floral, rosehips, vineyard peach, even a bit raspberry and cherry. Between rosé and red wine. Plums, sour peach. Lactic acid, again (some) rosé wine. Buttermilk, sour cherries, other pink/red fruit. Peachyoghurt. Spritzy carbonation, refreshing, rather light body; acidburn and -thinning, tannine astringency. Really wow, another brewery to be discovered in Santa Rosa. I had to look up 'pluots', but tasting plums wasn't far out, then.

0,5l bottle at home. yellow lightly hazy color, small white head. smells funk, wood, oak, earthy, bit vinous, lightly fruity. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes vinous, wood, oak, peppery. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of wood, vinous notes and pepper. very good one, rather wood and barrel forward. good enough amount of funk to keep it interesting.

Like an old friend indeed. I love me a wine barrel-aged saison and this is a banger. Just enough funk and tannins. So much expression in these mixed cultures.
