Can @ Dean’s The Hague Tasting. We’ll come up with a name later. Clear pale yellow color, virtually no head. Smells just like pineapple juice. Tastes the same. Pretty nice drink actually, but not a beer by a long stretch.

Tap at Deano’s monthly tasting, September. Poured a clear light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big pineapple and a hint of caramel. The flavour is hugely sweet and that kinda destroys it really. It’s a fruit juice with alcohol. Didn’t like this at all.

Bottle from Kenwood Liquor. You know, scientists now say Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, has an icy surface 10 miles thick, covering an ocean 100 miles deep, which could have the ingredients necessary for life. And I’ll bet they make better beer than this. Despite the brown bottle, it’s got a skunky smell. Perhaps I should consider it doesn’t have a date and probably sat on the shelf for months, but I’m feeling too ornery. Hazy straw color, a layer of fizz. Taste is mostly of adjuncts, some rubbing alcohol, and a little bitterness. I feel like I’m done with it now, but there’s half a bottle to go.

50cl can thanks to Joes. Clear golden color, small to medium sized lightly soapy white head. Aroma of malts and hay. Taste malts, hay, slightly sweetish yeastyness and slightly bitter. Low body, low to medium carbonation.

Can purchased from the local Ranch 99 -- too lazy to input it as a place just to show distribution in California. Pours clear golden with a medium white head that dissipates slowly with some lacing.. Aroma is corn syrup, grass, cardboard. flowers. Flavor is actually not bad, although with a cardboard note that is annoying. Light sweet, not much actual bitterness, but refreshing.

H-Mart, Merrifield, VA 330ml can: Pours a quickly dissipating head with straw body. Aroma is weak. Taste is weaker. Taste is actually slightly offensive, so I don’t know what all these people be saying about it not being offensive. I think I got beef with the aftertaste. There is a modicum of hops, but who cares really. Well, at least I tried a beer from Taiwan.

Jan 2007: from BA. Green bottle, 600ml, claiming to be a Gold Medal Beer, whoever voted for this beer was got at! Paler than a pale thing, on international pale day, this lager looked like Euro fizz, but even paler, light, no very light, almost a see through watery, urine after a heavy day of drinking Bitburger (you must be pissed if you think I’ve done that). Taste-less, aroma-less, mouthfeel-less, drinkable-less etc, etc. If I am stuck in an Island with a dead bloke and a crate of this beer, I would drink rain water before I would open a bottle of Taiwan Beer.
