Dark brown color, tiny off-white head. Aroma has coffee and dry toastyness. Light to medium-bodied. Toasted, soft palate, quite dry. Some coffee (and coffee acidity). Very pleasant and balanced, just shouts a bit more ABV.

Aroma has butter, toffee, hay and biscuits. Flavour has biscuits, grassy notes, butter and floral tones. Also some toffee. An EPA with strong german hops. Starts to feel ’greasy’ at the middle of the glass as the English hops kick in. Unusual and a bit stuffy, but not bad. Quite hoppy for this style.

Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki. Hazy orange color, decent creamy white head. Aroma has banana and some herbal hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Sweetish banana, herbal hoppyness and alcohol. A bit woody too. Very German. Ok.

Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki. Clear amber color, small off-white head. Caramel, earthy hoppyness in the nose. Light-bodied. Caramel, pale malty, a bit nutty. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite watery for this ABV. Not among the best Helsinki beers.

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20140417) The beer poured orange and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, clove, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, clove, banana, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, spicy and bitter. A tasty bock with a pleasant twist from weizen yeast.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 12-2014, at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20140417) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain, earth and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, earth, sweetness, toffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy and bitter. A very grainy pale ale: different but nice.

Tap at Brewpub Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki. Colour is cloudy orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, banana, hints of citrus, grain, wheat, caramel, some sweetness, hops and malts. Interesting mixture. Looks like Bryggeri Helsinki can only do better than average (German-style) beers.

Aroma is fruity and grainy with some peaches and passionfruit. Flavour has fruity hops, malty heaviness, some minerals and exotic fruits. Finishes with grassy hops. A maibock on the hoppy side.

Draught@HBF2014. Golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is mild tropical fruits along with some bready and grassy notes. Flavour is tropical fruits, nectar, mild sweet malts, some bready notes as well as quite big herbal/grassy bitterness in the finish. Decent although the hopping itself clashes a bit.

Draught@HBF2014. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and some sweet malti notes along with biscuits and some cereals. Flavour is dry wood, grass, some floral and herbal notes along with some biscuits and sweet maltiness. Feels a bit "searching", but pretty much the elements are there, but not mixing too well.
