Aroma is rather familiar - lots of hay and some rye porridge. Very Bryggeri. Also some jyväjemmari aroma and hints of toffee. Flavour has bready malt, toffee, some caramel and hay. Also hints of orange. Ash and nettles in the finish. More like amber than brown ale - by appearance and flavour. Must try the filtered version from a bottle too.

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, licorice and grainy hay notes. Taste is smooth, grainy and roasty with some hints of chocolate. Finish is smooth and grainy. Okay.

(Keg at OlutExpo 2013) The beer poured almost black. Its head was quite large and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, hops and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, mild sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A tasty dry porter.

Tap at Olutexpo 2013, Helsinki. Colour is black with small brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, some chocolate, hints of smoke and roasted malts. Little bit of watery.

Aroma is sweetish with cocoa, some coffee notes, ash and hints of butter. Flavour has ashy notes, bitter coffee, nettles and some licorice. Nice, but the bitterness ansd nettles do disturb a bit. Could be an (irish) dry stout too. (yes, I had one before this.)

On tap at the Brewpub in October 2013. Almost clear amber with a white head. Aroma and taste of hops, pine, grape and hay. A bit sweet with a bitter finish. The best of the five beers that I tasted during my visit.

On tap at the Brewery, October 2013. Slightly hazy copper with a white head. A lot of nuts both in the aroma and taste. Also toffee, some dried fruit and with roasted notes. A relaxed one.

On tap at the Brewery, October 2013. Hazy golden/yellow with a white head. Aroma and taste of wheat, spices, banana and citrus. Easy to drink and refreshing.
