Pours golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of bready malts, grass, earthy notes and spices. Taste is smooth, malty and bready with some grass and earthy notes. Finish is sweetish malty, hoppy and bready with nice notes of grass and citrus. Nicely balanced and tasty maibock. These guys sure know how to brew proper and clean German style beers.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty. Bitter, roasted and caramelish. Dry and bitter finish.

[5/3/14] Bottle sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Queue for 3rd session. Brown with amber hues and a beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some dark bread and a liqueur note. Sweet flavor, malty, mildly roasty, with toast, caramel and a drier and slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle @ home [thanks to Hermod / Euro Swap 5]. Clear golden color, average sized white to off-white head that diminishes quickly but leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is very malty, grainy and malty bitter. Taste has a lot of malts and grains as well and also again that malty bitterness. It appears that the full maltyness also gives the beer a medium body (which is more than the ordinary pilsener has iimo), while carbonation is suitable. Clearly different from most other pilseners I’ve drunk so far.

Tap@brewpub. Unclear, golden color, lacing white head. Ripe banana, malt, minerally notes in aroma. Pleasant. Flavor has citrus, spicy notes, yeast, malt. Quite dry finish. Strong saison wibes. Really refreshing. Solid.

Tap at Brewpub Bryggeri, Helsinki. Colour is clear light copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, some sweetness, hints of fruits, hops and malts. Pretty simple as expected. Clean but little bit of too fizzy.

A colabrown beer with a weak and light beige head. The nose is bready, roasted, some coffee. Taste is quite dry, lots of coffee, roastiness, some bitterness in the end. Quite light to drink, also quite smooth. Good quality beer but not very interesting.
