2011 Vintage. Enjoyed at 55 in an HFS tulip. Bottle #437. Pours no head at all. Midnight black, oily in texture. Bourbon dominates the nose. Majority is vanilla and some smokiness. Taste is very textured. Surprisingly sweet with a vanilla finish. Brown sugar, some hints of dark fruits and sort of a candy taste in the middle. Flavor is sweet malty, bready, butterscotch, caramel, and lightly toasted. Pretty solid Scottish ale but maybe a tad on the sweet side. Good stuff.
