16.9 ounce bottle from the Beer Trappe, 7/23/23 (early morning before bed / this is nightcap). Clear deep red, medium brown head, poor retention. Aroma of toffee, vanilla, coconut, nougat, cherry, orange, whiskey. Taste is cherry, vanilla, coconut, chocolate, raisin, cherry, cinnamon, whiskey. Booze well hidden. Not really reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but its nice.

Pour is clear pale like any normal beer. Has a big fat craggy white head. Nose is mild pine. First taste is boozy hops, big ass boozy hops. Mouth coating palate with a bitterness than never ends. Yes, big fat viscous drink this is. Slight warming sensation on the way down the gullet. Difficult to drink for a lager lover, whew. Somebody please get me an ice cold cheap pale lager for a chaser, yuck. Terribly on style.

12oz bottle. Immediately loses points for the description, at least it wasn't on the can. Really doesn't taste like a German beer. Tastes darker than the dulled copper body would suggest. No real lager tone, thin malt. Rather weak stuff, perhaps not unlike a Christian Morlein beer in body and quality. Not impressive on any level.

12oz can. Poured a mostly clear golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was pleasant hop, floral, with some grassy citrus. Flavor was pleasant, pleasant.
