Sampled in Champaign 11.2012. Dry yeast aroma. Greyish yellow, low lace. Dry spicy yeast, almost franconian weizen. Fairly light body, lacks chewyness. Ok spicy finish.

Sampled in Champaign 11.2012. Light roast and fruit aroma. Chestnut brown, offwhite lace. Fullbodied, roasted with fruity notes. A hint metallicity, chocolate. Lacks the herbal hops and metallic dryness of a German alt.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted malt with some dark cooca. Flavor again starts out very heavy on the malt with a big caramel note. Finish has more of the malt but with an ever so slight touch of coffee. Decent beer and I wish these guys would bring their stuff closer to St. Louis.
