Bottle thanks to Homey. Pours inky black with a small creamy tan head and good lacing. Aroma is cocoa and bourbon, vanilla, oak. Flavor has a nice rye sharpness to it that balances the sweetness of the underlying stout. Vanilla prominent, just short of cloying. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good

Bottle. Pours unclear mahogany, smell beige head, minimal lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, bourbon, werthers, toffee, raisin, date, fig, vanilla, almond extract. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Merlin body, creamy mouthfeel. 4,8,8,5 16

Sample at the roost pours a murky brown, white head. Nose has toast and roasted pecans and vanilla, some cakes. Flavor is rootbeer, vanilla, brown sugar, malt. Finishes dry, lightly tannic. Easy drinker.

Enjoyed on tap at Hampton Station in Tampa, FL. Very very good porter, decadent without being too sweet, rich vanilla / chocolate / hazelnut profile. Would have again!
