Description
Privately owned since 1809, the Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu stands for traditional Franconian brewing culture. The brewery was not always called Kauzen Bräu. It was not until 1974 that the Ochsenfurt monastery brewery was renamed the Kauzen Brewery.

Bottle at home. #2 of my advendkalender. Golden beer, small head. Aroma is grain, sweet. Taste is the same, small hint of bitterness.... meh average pilsener.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle! Malty and smooth beginning. Slightly sweetish in body, not too intense hoppy but deep with floral hints. The body is for me a bit too sweetish, the bitterness is moderate, fresh and round in the aftertaste. Nice but not much more than a floral and slightly sweetish Pils.

Fles 33cl thuis. Fris, würzig, lekkere hoptonen, bitter, hier en daar een zoetje. (11-2015).

Herb-bitterer Antrunk, weicher milder Hopfen. Geringfügige Getreidenoten, bitterer werdend. Süffig, erfrischend, unspektakulär. Gute Basis für ein Bier, hätte man mehr Aromahopfen genommen. 8/8/8/8/9/8

Milder, leicht herber und süßlicher Antrunk. Eher wässriger Mittelteil, weich, getreidig bleibend. Langweilig aber immerhin etwas würziger im Nachhall, geringfügig malzig, angenehmer Hopfen. OK. 8/8/9/8//8

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing! The beer is round and smooth. Hints of malty grain, moderate bitterness. A bit grainy, but fresh and round. A bit unround.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing! Pours slightly hazy dark golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of mild hops, some grain, toasted malt. Taste is grainy, mild hoppy, pale malt, easy to drink!

2l bottle. Pours a hazy darkish yellow color with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grain, flower, light yeast.
