About
Privately owned since 1809, the Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu stands for traditional Franconian brewing culture. The brewery was not always called Kauzen Bräu. It was not until 1974 that the Ochsenfurt monastery brewery was renamed the Kauzen Brewery.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, moderate yeasty, banana, sweet banana. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sugar. Bottled@PBF2010. Hazy brown colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, some wheat, and quite interesting. Flavour is quite much the same. Wheat, spices and sweetness dominating.
