(bottle) clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy white head. Sweet slightly bready malty nose with light notes of sour dough and light spicy hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Solid, slightly bready malty base with a tinge of honey and light herbal notes; moderately sweet, slightly bitter malt-accented finish with a light but balancing herbal hops-character (03.05.08).

50 cL bottle, first bottle of MiP: "I need to clear out my beers before I move"-tasting - cheers Michael. Pours clear and pale yellow with a dense white head. Sweet corn and light acidic grass aroma. Flavour is sweet cornish with a light acidic touch. Sweet cornish finish with a light bitterness.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful and stable foamy white head. Sweet and bready pale malt aroma with sour dough and light herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour with a light but present hoppy bitterness, medium to full bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Pale malt-character, bready taste with light notes of honey and herbal spice; sweet-bitter finish, malt-accented with a light herbal hoppy note and a fairly well-bound alcohol (01.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a steady medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet and distinctively bready malty aroma, slightly doughy with light notes of herbal hops in the background. Light-sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth and pleasant carbonation. All malt flavour, moderately bready with light notes of biscuit; moderately sweet, slightly bitter malt-accented finish with a whiff of herbal hops. Pleasant to drink, but not one of my faves (01.05.08).

Bottle. Primarily aroma of Sprite/7-Up with just a hint of the beer. Medium yellow color with small head. Flavor matches aroma - primarily the lemon soda with just a hint of the Weizen. Slightly smoother than their Radler - a nice summer drink.

(bottle) Clear, yellow colour with a massive blond foamy head. Herbal hops aroma with notes of citrus and a light skunky touch. Bitter flavour, hops-accented taste with a soft malty, slightly strawy base; light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation; dry and bitter, quite aromatic citrousy hoppy finish with a light touch of metal.

Huge, creamy head, retreating with some lace; brown, very hazy beer with orange/mossy highlights. Creamy, nutty, even a bit of cacaopowder. Then banana, fruitacids and peanut-like fatty acids. Sweet, fruity first, drier taste later. Again a bit of arachide, but complementing the flavourprofile rather than disturbing it. Tart-ish banana, wheat, and a bit of cacao powder. Medium bodied, wheat slickness. Remarkedly less carbonated than the other Kauzen beers. Decent, if not exciting Dunkelweizen. Thanks to Ann & her crew!

Medium, fine & dense white head over heavy golden beer with apricot shine. Glue, solvent (or: fusels), esters with especially bananaester. Definitely a lot of chipboard. Taste has again quite a bit of solvent, further fruity esters as banana/orange, but ending on meaty, near smoked esters. In fact, it is what winetasters would call "meaty" - if it had some more beef to its bones. Retronasal a little aroma/flavour of lilies. Quite slick, but also quite thin. Slickness & good carbonation even downplay the thinnish MF. I’m sorry, but I cannot be as jubilant as the other tasters. Boring. Kauzen makes some good brews - but others. Thanks to Ann and her crew!

Good, fluffy, just yellow-tinted head over well-carbonated metallic-golden beer. Vanilla, CO² laden nose, finally turning rather grassy. Hayish, grassy, very - too - discreet Pilsner. Sweeter in the main taste, finishing a bit metallic-bitterish... Dry, near-medium bodied. A rather uninteresting lager beer. Compared to their 1809 Original, this is really unnecessary. Sounds a bit like the Moortgat Bel pils vs. Vedett story... Kult beer indeed!

Huge, very fine & dense yellowish head over well-carbonated orange-golden beer. Glue - and a lot of it - solvent-ish. Some warm malts, very slightly toasted. Slightly sweetish, bready, but again with glue/solvent notes in the taste. Also, toasted, even more outspoken, orange/apricot buns. A bit sharpish MF, slight burning. Medium bodied, quite slick. Some alcohol, but discreet. Decent, but not very exciting Heller Bock. A little less ethyl acetate might have made it quite good... Thanks to Alt Frankie and her crew!
