Dark brown beer with an orange-gold shine; end of a rim for head. I would venture some smoked malt in the nose! For the rest, classical, bready, sweet-ish notes with some vegetal, fresh hints. Sweet main taste, slightly bitterish, earthy & leafy as it ought to be! Light to medium bodied, rather good carbonation. Very tasteful Dunkel. Well worth looking for. Ochsenfurt is supposed to be very nice as well, and maybe a bit overlooked by the classical beertrails.

Wässriger Antrunk, leicht herb, im Mittelteil und Nachgeschmack minimal hefig. Wie thomas.k bereits sagt, löscht es den Durst perfekt - der Genuss bleibt dabei aber auf der Strecke. Test vom 19.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,5,6,4,6,5 - 5,15

Würziger, leicht getreidiger Antrunk mit deutlicher Malzlastigkeit. Im Mittelteil wird der Hopfen stärker, die Aromen sind angenehm nebeneinander zu erkennen und gut zu trennen. Das Bier wird anschließend malziger, kurz danach auch deutlich würziger. Auch der Hopfen zeigt hier Stärke. Test vom 18.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,10,11,12,9,11 - 10,60

Milder Getreidegeruch. Leicht herber Antrunk, der in getreidigen Tönen endet. Dazu wird das Bier etwas bitter, was nur durch die allgemeine Milde auffällt. Mittelbitteres, leicht getreidiges Finish. Ordentlich, aber nicht anspruchsvoll. Test vom 17.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,9,9,6,8 - 8,10

Leicht metallerner Geruch, so gut wie keine Krone. Minimal fruchtiger und trocken herber Antrunk, das Bier wirkt wässrig. Im Mittelteil setzt sich der Antrunk ohne Veränderung fort, ein Nachgeschmack ist kaum zu erkennen, hier dringt einzig ein süßliches Aroma durch. Langweilig. Metallerner Geruch. Leicht fauliger Antrunk, süßlich-hopfiger Mittelteil. Im Nachgeschmack wird die Hopfigkeit langsam herber, dabei etwas malzern. Kann niemanden vom Hocker reißen.. Test vom 11.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,7,8,7,9,8 - 7,55

Getreidiger Geruch. Herb-getreidiger und milder Antrunk. Im Mittelteil sehr viel getreidger werden, dabei entsteht ein leicht schaler Eindruck. Eine Malznote ist unbeachtet im Unterton kurzweilig zu erkennen. Frischer herber Nachgeschmack. Einfaches Bier mit durchschnittlichem Ergebnis. Bottle, 5.0%. OK banana aroma. Hazy yellow colour, OK white head. The flavour is a little sweet with some banana. Gets a little citric at the end. Good example of a flavourful Hefeweizen.

Bottle: Pale golden coloured, firm creamy head, lively carbonation, sweet-malt, vanilla, citrus and traces of cardboard in the all in all faint nose; sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, almost creamy MF; delicate bitter-sweet finish, a bit citrousy. A mild one, a cheap one, but not a bad one.....

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy pilsener golden with a handsome, white head. Fruity nose with some banana. Rather heavy carbonation. Medium body with plenty of malt - especially the banana esters stands out. Quite fresh. 300106
