From bottle at Remko's bierproefavond. Didn't take notes, enjoyed nice beers and good company. What I do remember: Quite dark color for a Tripel. Yeast, clearly present honey, some sweetness, light hints of peat towards and at the finish.
33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Mel and Bobo

Bottle. Color: Black, very thin mocha head. Aroma: Whiskey, some coffee and roasted malt. Taste: Overwhelming Whiskey, hints of green apple, roasted malt and some coffee and almond. Quite thin for this style. Hints of oak wood. Boozy and thin finish. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Mwah... Nice try, but no topper for me.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, hoppy notes and yeasty and Port hints. Taste: Combination of malt and hop. Yeasty hints. Very subtle Port, booze and oak wood. Quite flat taste, feeling even a bit watery. I expected and was hoping for much more from this combination and have had far better BA Tripels from for example Holevoort and De Magistraat. Disappointing.
Raar, die honing. #tripel

Quickly diminishing head, Murky, unfiltered and unclear, yeast present, some honey flavours, a bit sweet, spicy, some orange peel, sugar.. well it’s okay.. however, the cloudy sight is not so inviting!
