Description
In 1872 the brewery was founded as stock holding company (AG) under the name brewery Zum Bergkeller. In 1885 it became the Radeberger Exportbrauerei. Under the leadership of Conrad Brüne the small brewery became a large industrial enterprise and an international renowned name. During GDR times it was a beer for the top brass of the party. After 1990 the brewery facilities were extensively renewed. Today Radeberger is one of the most modern breweries in Europe.

.5 l can sent for my comment. Pours the straw color of the usual German import. A slight cloudiness in the center, with a nice white beery head. Smell has peppery noble hop overtones, light toasty malts, and maybe a bit of sweetness. Same again in the palate. Crispy toasted lager malts, although there is some sugar to it. A bit filling, I'm guessing from yeast or other bits that weren't filtered out. Can't connect it to a Pilsner water profile, but it manages as a light import shelf beer.

Clear gold colour with lasting white head. Fresh bread and malty aroma. Malty taste with a malt finish. Curious as to what hop is used

330ml can. Gold, nice white head, ok retention. Aroma is grassy, stewed veg, hint of lemon; not clean and crisp like a Pilsner at all. Taste is sweet, grassy, some lemon; tastes better than the aroma suggested but nothing special. Average.

Clear gold with a frothy white had, and that cut grass aroma that I associate with 'lagers'. The taste kicks off with sharp hop bitterness, with a fizzy mouthfeel and a light malt backbone, the finish carrying a hint of lemon

0.5 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Shared with Stanley. Clear pale golden to golden, small white head. Malty, grainy, sugary. Light fruity. Light, tasteless, slightly bland. Moderate carbonation. Light herbal hops along with some hay flavour. Finish quite dry. Not bad.

Bottle at Dukes Grocery in Foggy Bottom. Poured a very clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma was light grassy notes, some crisp malts. Flavor was light metallic notes, bitterness, with some stale hop notes. Fine with lunch.
