0.5 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Shared with Stanley. Clear pale golden to golden, small white head. Malty, grainy, sugary. Light fruity. Light, tasteless, slightly bland. Moderate carbonation. Light herbal hops along with some hay flavour. Finish quite dry. Not bad.

Bottle at Dukes Grocery in Foggy Bottom. Poured a very clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma was light grassy notes, some crisp malts. Flavor was light metallic notes, bitterness, with some stale hop notes. Fine with lunch.

Golden colour, frothy head that stays for a while. Aroma is malt, a bit of grassy hops. Light bitterness. Light body, soft carbonation. Too weak to counter fat food. Decent.

330ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Grainy, strawy aroma, hints of wet straw, horse dung. Taste is dry, grainy, strawy, minimally metallic hoppy. Characterless.

Hay-like aroma. Form hopbitter grassy flavor. Grassy bitter aftertaste. This beer for me is a relic from the former DDR-period, when it took hours to pass the BRD-DDR-border near Eisenach and the DDR-Czech border in the Zinnwald under Dresden. You had to be afraid of Vopo’s, you needed visa just to pass the border and had to buy Ostmarke, but they were virtually worthless. I will never forget the friendliness and hospitality of the East German people just before and after the Wende. This firm and tasty Radeberger pilsener is a way to remember those days.

Served a .5 l on tap at an outside bar in downtown Berlin. Nice glass from the brewer. It is a pale straw-yellow with a steady white head, significant carbonation. A smell of grain and a touch of citrus. The taste is biscuit, a bit of lemon and a very small sweetness. Quite appreciated on a very warm, summer day. A Pilsner, what more can you say?
