Mittellanger Abgang. 8/9/11/12//12

50cl bottle. Pours a light golden with some head and some bottles. Not much on the nose at all. There is a little pale malt and there is dry almost astringent malt on the finish. The palate doesn’t have enough body but there is a long dry (not altogether pleasant) finish. Refreshing lager but not world-beating.

It finishes lightly to moderately bitter and lightly sweet. Light to medium body, smooth texture and lively carbonation. After sweet start, the flavor turns nicely bitter. Easy drinking, refreshing.

On tap @ Munich Haus. Not a bad pils. Clear golden color with a very white head. Massive head that vanished to very small but laced the glass nicely. Clean taste. Dry finish. Not a bad pils at all. Not great though either. I wouldn’t buy in a bottle. but decent on tap.

Draught in a hotel bar in Dusseldorf.Pale straw with a massive white head and light carbonation; slightly musty German hop aroma; crisp malt flavour, rather sweet; the finish is drier with some meadow-fresh flowery hops. Not bad.

(Draught at some bar close to Alexanderplatz, Berlin, 20 July 2010) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grass and hay. Malty taste with grass, hay, bread, a hint of tropical fruit and a generous grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, some malt sweetness. Clean and enjoyable but fairly average large scale pilsner.
