Clear, light golden colour with medium head. Hoppy aroma and taste. Light body, crispy, corny finish. A decent mainstream Pilsener.

On draught January, 2005 at Redbones. Rather looking forward to a nice Classic German Pils. When I sipped in to my glass of pale-gold liquid, with no head, I was rather astonished and taken aback at the cheap, soapy, metallic and even slightly acidic qualities of this "pilsner". Definitely tastes like adjuncts, though I dont know that they are in there. A pathetic amount of pils malt, no hops, and not even a clean finish, just a soapy, lightly alcoholic ending. A strange vanillin extract flavor pervades the beer as well. It wasn’t completely watered down though, to its credit, some slight body to it. Heavy, fake carbonation. Smell of vanilla, soap, touch of papery, watery hops.

On tap at the Steinkeller, Oxford, OH. Clear straw body, medium off-white head with some clumping. Spicy, grassy wet hay hops aroma. Flavor is grassy and a bit cardboardy with light biscuit and wisps of fruit. There are too many boring pilseners at Steinkeller.

This Pil pours a crystal clear yellow with a bright white head. Metallic malt scent with a little sugar. Maybe a little dough notes. First taste was smooth and a little watery. Typical pilsner, with the bad finish common with Lab Blue. Drinkable.

Bottled. Pale golden, rich head. Grassy nose. Dry, clean but rounded. Balanced bitterness. A decent pilsener.

The aroma is slightly sweet. The color is yellow and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of straws. A nice pilsener.

Clear gold; big but quickly dissipating head; aroma is actually a little on the skunky side; fairly bitter profile w/ grassy accent; thin body more reminiscent of a macro than a lean & mean German pils. A bit watery in the finish. Not bad, but considering that it is often spoken of in the same terms as Jever, Bitburger and Wernesgruner, well, it isn''t on the same terms as those beers.

Golden coloured, fluffy head, good lacework. Hoppy, slightly smoky/peaty aroma. Crisp, hoppy bitterness that lasts a looooong time. Great pilsener!

Re-rate: light pilsner-golden, head not good. A quite boring standard pilstaste. Malt almond nose+palate. Weakbodied.
