Fairly hazy golden coloured body with a light straw coloured body and a nice two to three centimetre tall off-white head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a thin lace on the sides. Aroma of light biscuity malt with some herbal notes, a dash of straw and hay and some barnyardie notes, and a crisp yeast bite. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavours dominate up front with a biscuity and slightly grainy bite along with a hint of rice and soft grassy notes, but the crispness shows through and hits nicely, especially at the end. Aftertaste is dry, but very easy-drinking with a nice crisp malt profile that has some biscuity notes and some grains as well, but the light lemon and spice flavours provide some depth and a minor amount of complexity. Overall, a pretty nice and easy-drinking Zwickl that hits the marks nicely for the style while being a bit complex and enjoyable, for a lager. Nice to sample on one of the first 'crisp' days of Autumn here. I sampled this 500 mL can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Alexandria (Carlyle Crossing), Virginia on 25-August-2022 for US$2,33 (as part of a mixed six pack) and sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-October-2022 after watching The Mars Volta play in Washington at the Anthem, a few minutes ago.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear light golden colour with a large thick throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, grass and white bread. Taste is quite earthy with a touch more grains and bread with a big grassy hop bitterness immediately hitting the palate. Notes of cardboard in amongst the grassy hops. Medium body with average carbonation. A little bit harsh but decent enough, lots of hops and a good representation of the style.

Can shared by JK, thanks! Pours a near clear straw gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is straw forward with hay and a touch of grass underlying. Flavor has a good amount of grass and straw with some hay in the finish.
