Description
It all started with eight visionary men who founded the “Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte zu Berlin AG” on February 1st, 1872 in Rixdorf. They established a modern brewery within one year, which was opened on July 19, 1873. The first public serving takes place on this day. In 1890 the brewery decides, as one of the first breweries in Germany, to brew a Pilsen beer. It is called - based on its southern German relatives - "Berliner Kindl". In 1910 the brewery is renamed "Berliner Kindl Brauerei AG". In 2006 Berliner Kindl returns to its former location in the east of Berlin. The entire range is now brewed in the Berliner Kindl Schultheiss brewery in Lichtenberg.

a very light pale yellow, with a SHARP light hop, Sharp WOW citric sour. Very lemony very drying. Its almost as if some one has made a Very light clean lager using pure lemon juice in stead of water. This works real well for me, but not for the whole 330ml bottle. Its not an easy drink, but it is lovely for its sharp tangy mouth puckering brain buzzing citric punch. Im lead to believe its often drunk with a swet syrup added, but well worth trying without.

Hazy light amber color. The aroma is a bit malty. The flavor has well has some malt and caramel; thin at the end, so probably too old.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is superbly imperial wheaty with some acidic fruity hints. Acidic citrus and wheat in flavour. Refreshing, extremely nice and pleasant.

After 3250 ratings, this is my second Berliner Weisse. Very pale hazy yellow color, not much head. Rubbery, wheaty nose. Sourish, fruity, lemony flavor - good nice nip there. Wheaty notes in the aftertaste. Tasty example of this difficult style.

Bottle, 5.0%. Clear golden colour, big white head. The flavour is slightly sweet, not dry at all. Rather anonymous, but OK.
