Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mild dark malt character, little roasty bitterness. Tangy dark fruits. Lightened by floral parma violets! Finishes semi dry. Bitterish linger. Comes together well. Unusual.

Aroma - deep dark malts, dark caramel malts, background of citrus hops, this is a bipa
Taste - more citrus hops, grassy hops, dark rich malts, backbone of deep roast malts
Palate - medium carb, medium body. Finish - roast malts and hops
Overall - Only had ~ 40 ml but this seemed pretty good

cask at cloister ... deep black ... thin creamy head ... deep chocolate roast nose...ok wierd as f..k ... some coffee and pine front ... quite salty ... dark roast malts ... soft chocolate .. quite bitter front ... light pine linger ... wierd ... definitly wierd
