[9/16] Bottle. Viscous pour is black with an inch of tan head. Lots of good fresh coffee (medium dark roasted) in the aroma with roasted malt, berries, mocha, whisky, vanilla. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Very sweet with vanilla, caramel and coffee up front and stout in the background. The coffee pushes the obvious whisky notes of normal Ramjet back into the pack a little - which I don’t mind at all. Alarmingly easy drinking. Late bitterness. Yet again an insufficiently stouty stout for me, but has a lot going for it. [3.9][9/17] Another from a box - wouldn't have kept a coffee beer myself. Tan head soon a coat. A: coffee, molasses, whisky, some soy sauce. Heavy, sweet, carbonation lower than it needs to be. Mocha, whisky, quite a deal of vanilla. Was a bad idea to keep it but it's still a good beer. Leaving score as it was but 3.7.

Bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is grassy hop citrus, light dry spice. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big woody hop, light toothpaste bitter palate and lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, anise, licorice, light roast, toast. Medium bodied (on the light side for >7%) lowish carbonation. Softer spices in the taste, with bread dough and some oranges coming through towards a moderately bitter finish. Alcohol is very well hidden - almost so you question its strength - and there’s a lovely just mouthfilling weight to the flavours.

Tap. Nearly black with tan head that settles to a fat coat. 3 Strong tropical fruit aroma with lychees, passionfruit, mango, some mandarin, chocolate brioche, some licorice - interesting but you wonder how harmonious it could be. Smooth, almost oily. The fruit is certainly there and fairly prominent, but it fits together well enough. Chocolate, bread crusts, only a hint of roasted malt really. But tied together by firmish bitterness that builds a bit at the end. Pretty good, but another one that could - for mine - be more stouty.

Bottle. Pale yellow, white head is gone in under a minute. Some chunks. High bead. Aroma of damp laundry, a flowering meadow, elderflowers, some tired oranges, pepper. Lightish bodied, somewhat slippery. Not as carbonated as it looks - wouldn’t have minded just a little higher. Seems quite sour on first sip but it melts away as grain and the flowers come through. The depth of sunny flavours is impressive for 4%.
