Bottle, 10C. Gold with a white head that lasts and coats a Westmalle chalice. Gentle but lovely and floral aroma with honeyed dough, apricots, oranges and light spices - cloves, pepper, coriander. Alcohol is hidden. Sweet hay, dough, apricots, some orange, bitterness and spices creep up gently as it dries out towards the finish. A tiny bit too spicy for me (not a big Westmalle fan) but a fine and harmonious tripel.

Pours pale straw with a very quickly fading head.White wine dominates as an aroma, with faint apple and grape notes too. Some wheat underneath.Flavours include lemon, elderflower, white wine and coconut oak notes. A very gentle acidity in the finish.A bit heavy on the wine notes.

(Bottle) Very dark brown with thick tan head. Rich complex sweet aroma: toffee, raisins, alcohol, spice. Soft, smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Rich foretaste, dark toffee, raisins, some peppery spice. Tastes falls away in mid palate as the alcohol steadily dominates. The finish is mainly alcohol with some residual burnt caramel notes. Definitely drinkable, unusual, interesting, but not quite balanced.

(Bottle) Hazy muddy amber with almost no head. Restrained aroma that is pleasantly hoppy - hints of citrus and pine. Light body with good carbonation. Great taste with a nice balance of hops and malt. There’s a light biscuity malt throughout. It’s overlaid at the start with some nice big fruity flavours - citrus and hints of stone fruit. A nice bitterness develops and lingers with a good finish. For a beer that has hops billed so high in the name and description, it isn’t very bitter and I thought the hops were rather restrained - certainly the aroma was largely missing and the taste whilst definitely hoppy was not hop driven. Anyway, a good beer.

(On tap) Clear amber with reasonable white head. Nice citrus and pine aroma. Light body with good carbonation. Fresh tang over biscuity malt to start. Peppery spice develops and then the hops build for a nice bitter finish. Not over the top just nicely very hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 330ml bottle on 9/6/2014. Pours a slightly cloudy deep golden with a small head. Has a nice fruit driven hop aroma with some floral notes. Flavour wise, it’s big and bold. There’s some caramel malt up front, but the sweet fruit comes to the fore, particularly apricot, lychee, peach, pear pineapple and mango. The hops are big, grapefruity, lingering and enormously satisfying. Has a medium body and fairly lively carbonation. A very impressive, supremely well balanced IPA - certainly right up there in terms of Aussie brews. Another winner from Boatrocker.

Lots of aromas - honey, biscuit, pine, spice and watermelon to name a few. Strong but well balanced hops in the mouth leaving a really great aftertaste. A restrained and complex hop bomb, if such a thing exists.

Keg at Mrs Parmas, Melbourne, Victoria. Hazy pale amber, small head. Rich bready lychee arom. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Some bread and caramel, plenty of mango and lychee. Really bitter finish. This brewer knows how to treat hops!

Bottled at Cookie, Melbourne, Victoria. Hazy pale amber, rich firm head. Huge aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Light and fruity, loads of citrus. Long bitter finish. Great stuff!

Bottle. Orange with an inch of white head. Aroma is floral with peach bubblegum, passionfruit, light herbal and honey notes. Light bodies, high carbonation. Sweet and peachy with tropical fruits and grass. Dries out towards a moderately bitter finish. As promised.
