(bottle) Cloudy yellow colour with a large white foam. Not much aroma but some yeasty and citric elements. Taste of wheat bread but very average, short and slightly fruity finish. Drinkable but boring.

Hazy blonde with a thick creamy white head which persists. Light wheaty malt aroma with none of the banana/cloves notes associated with weizen. In mouth, this is more of a malty fruity taste with faint bananas. Decent medium bodied. The weakest of the LCBO weizen release (summer 2005).

(bottle) Cloudy and hazy brown colour with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolatel and yeast. Spritzy carbonation, medium body, sweet flavour. Initially sweet and toasted malty taste with a touch of cacao, sweet malty and slightly clove-spicy finish. A little overcarbonated but all in all a gentle Weizenbock.

Bottle at Westgate Wetherspoons Canterbury. The flavours are not as strong as other wheat beers, but it looks the part with a cloudy golden colour and a thick white head. Slight citrus, a bit of banana and a bit of yeasty spiciness, but otherwise very refreshing

Cask at Bohemian, Deal. One of my favourite wheat beers. It looks good in the Erdinger glass with a good head. Nose is of burnt caramel malts and the flavour has liquorice and malt. Very nice drink indeed even in the height of summer.

My first Weizen Beer. I tried it in Switzerland in it’s original 0,5 glass. Full and smooth taste. Always enjoy it.
