(Bottle 50 cl) Very carbonated, this beer makes it way out of the bottle by itself. Hazy, dark golden. Very soft, less spicy and fruity than most other Hefeweizens. Apparently this starts off with a topfermenting yeast and is then refermented with a lager yeast? Maybe that’s what makes it less wheaty. 170100

Golden in colour with a thick offwhite head. Lighht lemony malt with notes of wet dog. Dry malty taste, with fruity banana esters, but the beer has seen better days, as some light cardboard notes are present in this one (about 1 yr old). Still, good little bitterness come out in end, and light alcohol.

Banana, cloves, and wheat in the aroma. Dark, cloudy brown with a large white head. Looks like I’m drinking water from the Mississippi. Flavor of gentle wheat and a very nice malt taste. The malt is similar in aroma and flavor to an abt. Somewhat sweet.

Tap : Poured in tall 0.5l German glass with a huge pale white foamy head with better then average retention. Aroma of wheat is extremely dominating with some subtle floral and sweet notes. Taste is extremely refreshing with light banana notes and great wheat taste. Body is just medium full and carbonation is excellent. Great refreshing beer with good mastering of this style.

Lecker malzig, irgendwie erdig trocken. Dazu ist es relativ süffig, nur der Nachgeschmack ist ein wenig farblos gestaltet. Trotzdem ien Bier, das man gut trinken kann. Test vom 2.5.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,10,6,9,10 - 9,35

Found this in a Mercator store in Zadar. A hefe that can be drunk from a bottle, eh ? A recipe for failure more likely. I don’t like the regular Erdinger weissbiers. I find them too watery and lacking real hefe taste. This is probably a watered down version of Erdinger. Go them. Looks fine though. Hazey orange, with a thick head that holds on for some time, and then suddenly turns fluffy and collapses from within. The honey-with-some-cream-on-top look. Smells more like a pilsener then a weissbier. Very faint too. Taste.... exactly what I expeted. Watery, overcarbonated, lacking real weissbier flavors other than some faint lemon. It’s yeasty though. Mild aftertaste. A hefe for those that really don’t know better.

Bottled
Hazy orange, good off-white head, livelycarbonation. Metallic cardboard and wheat aroma, not very strong. Quite carbonated mouthfeel. Crisp, almost witbier-like orangy flavor. Light to medium-bodied. Average refreshing weizen which lacks normal sweetish banana notes.

(bottle) Dark mahogany colour with a thick but diminishing beige head. The aroma is sweet with caramellish malt and bread wheat. So is the taste, lightly hopped with low bitterness at the finish (of course as it is a dark weizen, not a Hefeweizen). Only a decent brew and a bit disappointing for me
