(500 ml bottle). Enormous thick and lasting beige head, colour is very dark brown, cloudy. Aroma is immediately bread yeast, bread dough, fresh sweet buns. As the beer warms up, I also get rye bread, leather and caramel. Flavour is rye bread, caramel (too much), molasses, hints of roastiness and spices. Warming mouthfeel. There’s a very good beer hidden in here somewhere, but it remains unreleased. Sweetness is mostly to blame.

Schmeckt eher wie ein lasches Pils, obwohl es dafür dann doch ein wenig zu viel Kohlensäure beinhaltet. In keinem Falle ein Weißbier, das es nun wirklich sein soll weiß wohl keiner. Test vom 9.3.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,5,9,8,7 - 7,45

Bottled. Yellow and cloudy. Huge white head. Citrus and other fruits in the aroma. Taste is mainly sweet and fruity and very mild. Lacks taste and sting in my opionion, there are better Weissbier Hefe’s around.

Being the wheat beer fan that I am I had to try this one, especially as I had liked their regular Hefe rather well. Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy dark brown color with a large tan head. The aroma was sour malt and light citrus. The flavor was sour, tangy and had a bit of wheat and citrus in it. There was an underlying nut element as well. The middle was surprisingly sweet and thick. A nice beer, and one that I will have to try again.

[At Jyske Øldage 2004, Kolding] An unclear orange beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat. The flavor is flat, boring, and of wheat. Very plain.

Bottle. Nice malty banana/bubble gum aroma. Dark, dark opaque brown with small head. Has both weizen and bock flavors - light banana with typical estery bock flavor. Has a nice bock taste with typical Weizen characteristics.

500 ml bottle. Looks like a very pale Hefe-Weissbier, and for some reason I hoped a N/A Weissbier would be much better than other N/A beers. I was disappointed. Sickly "boiled" smell and flavour of wort, overdone vegetables and wet cardboard, just like Clausthaler. None of the Hefe aroma and "freshness" I hoped for. Avoid.

draught Dark straw, orange shine, fully cloudy; good firm head, leaving lace. Much citrus in the nose, even some hops, rather than the usual banana. Clove-y at best. Bit of dishwater. Dry taste, fruity and more "ale-y" than most Weizen. Bit of nutmeg aroma, more than the cloves. Well bodied, wheaty-slick, fairly carbonated, extremely dry. Better than the average Weizen, even when this is the epitomizing. Not very phenolic, more fruity esters.
