If you are a lover of hand-crafted real ales, then you should check out Alechemy Brewing. Our Edinburgh brewery is a small family run business that aims to provide a true alternative to the proliferation of mass produced and marketed beers. As an independent brewer, we are free to create a range of occasional speciality beers that compliment our core range of bottled and cask ales. We produce beers of all styles, so there is bound to be something in our range to please even the most experienced connoisseur.

Draught@Helsinki Beer Festival 2017. Golden colour, small creamy white head. aroma is fruity, wooden, floral and some herbal notes to it. flavour is fruity, floral, wooden and some mild herbal notes. Also some very metallic notes in the flavour, which kind of completely ruins the flavour.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Gryphon, Bristol 10/3/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Pineapple and some tangerine fruit, yeasty grains, straw, floral hops, before a moderately dry finish. Good.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, mild dusty notes with some sweetness to it. Flavour is big time sweet ripe fruits, some liquorice, glue, alcohol and mild roast.

Tap at HBF. Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head, lace. Fruity, grassy, woody aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish fruity, grassy, hoppy. Sweetish aftertaste with lingering bitterness.

(Keg at HBF2017) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, pine, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy brew with spicy notes.
