6/2/2026. Keg at the 16th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Aroma is hoppy, gooseberries, husky, stone fruits. Nice NZ hop notes. Decent.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - deep amber and fairly clear. Thin off-white head.
Nose - brown bread and toffee.
Taste - more of the same. Some malt astringency.
Palate - light to medium bodied, dry finish.
Overall - ok example of the style.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 31/01/2026.
Black topped with a khaki head that veers to the edge.
Nose is chocolate cake, dark malts, fruit rinds, spice, molasses.
Taste comprises mellow roast, chocolate fudge, light brandy bite, molasses, toasted brown sugars.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow rising boost.
Tidy impy but would have liked a touch more barrel presence.

Cask at The Colchester Winter ale festival 2026, Colchester, Essex. A dark amber/brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, fruity, caramel, spice action. Pleasant enough old ale.
