Dorpsbrouwerij de Pimpelmeesch was zo’n 20 jaar geleden één van Nederlands eerste craftbrouwerijen, de kleine en lokale brouwerijen die je de laatste jaren steeds meer ziet verschijnen. Dat brouwer Ad Kusters, creatieve man met een scheikundige achtergrond, daarmee een echte trendsetter zou blijken te zijn, wist hij toen nog niet. Hij wist wèl wat hij wilde met zijn brouwerij: mooie, herkenbare bieren brouwen met een constante hoge kwaliteit.

Bottle as "De Pimpelmeesch Heisse Weisse", 5.5%. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma malt, wheat, yeast, banana and spices. Flavour is malt, yeast, banana, medium sweet, spices, little over carbonated, hop and a medium bitter.

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is clear golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, wheat malt and hops. Semi high carbonation.

Bottle @ 4th Annual Fastelavns-Tasting Ulfborg, 2013. Pours clear golden with a white head. Yeast, orange, hops, alcohol. Fizzy.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda 2013. Unclear reddish color, small to medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet, some alcohol, lightly fruity. Quite like it actually.

Bottle 330ml.ABV: 7.0%. Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, nutty notes, light hoppy, moderate yeasty, cheese. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, cheesy, nutty, bitter, burnt caramel, peppery notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier festival. Pours cloudy brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, caramel and light fruit. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ Late Night Fonefan/Brugmansia Tasting, January 2013. Pours clear amber with a off white head. Yeast, caramel and alcohol. Vinous and full bodied. Sweet.. Sippable.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a deep golden with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Caramellish aroma with some greasy hops. Rich body, brown sugars, chocolate, overripe fruit and quite some late hops. 040113
