Description

Strong carbonation that quickly destroys the head. This carbonation aids the prickly spicy flavour of this one. Only a light background of banana sweetness. Difficult for the flavour to develop on the palate because of the intense gassiness. Buuuurrrpppp!

Full name is Zilverpel Chaams Hoenderbier And who the Dickens comes up with such a ridiculous name? Een hoender? Small transparent rim over veiled ochre-yellow beer. Bit agressive arachide nose; malts, but with a special herbal ànd nutty streak. As if bread made with crushed peanutflower would be dissolved in water. Again peanuts in the flavour, but oxydized in the mouth. Oxydized malts too. Medium bodied, slick. Average at best.

Draught @ Bierbeleving Oss. Lightly hazy orange color, small off-white head. Smell malts, some spice (cumin probably?). Tastes about the same: malts, some herbs or spices, so I guess cumin again, a bit sweet with a medium dry finish. Low to medium carbo, low to medium body.

Copper colour. Thick, sticky texture. Hoppy flavour but not too bitter, quite sweet in fact. Quite balanced in the finish, rounded malt and light, dry hoppiness.
