Description
Dorpsbrouwerij de Pimpelmeesch was zo’n 20 jaar geleden één van Nederlands eerste craftbrouwerijen, de kleine en lokale brouwerijen die je de laatste jaren steeds meer ziet verschijnen. Dat brouwer Ad Kusters, creatieve man met een scheikundige achtergrond, daarmee een echte trendsetter zou blijken te zijn, wist hij toen nog niet. Hij wist wèl wat hij wilde met zijn brouwerij: mooie, herkenbare bieren brouwen met een constante hoge kwaliteit.

Sampled @ KBC Festival Den Bosch 2012. Clear orange to red color, small white to off-white head. Smell malts, herbs, paint. Taste malts, lightly herbs, a bit sweet. Average body, low to medium carbonation. Crappy IPA.

Hazy blond colour, white head. Aroma of bread, yeast, butter, slight floral hops, light fruity. Somewhat sweet flavour, some yeast, diacetyl, more floral hops towards the end.

Gusher. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, floral hops, peppery yeast. Sweet malt flavour, some hops, some yeast. Sweet, light bitter finish. Decent tripel.

Dark brown beer, beige head. Malty aroma, pepper, yeast. Sweetish flavour, light malts. Some caramel. OK, not remarkable.

Hazy orange golden colour, white head. Tripel like aroma, peppery, some malts, some hops. Somewhat sweet flavour, light hops bitterness. Bit metallic. Dry finish. Is this supposed to be an IPA?

Bottle @ DRBM 2011. Yellow color, hazy. Aroma: spices, banana, wheat, a bit sour. Flavor is wheaty sourish and slightly sweet. Not remarkable.

Bottle @ DRBM 2011. Pale yellow color, hazy. White creamy head, good lacing. Aroma’s: fruity, lemon, a bit spices, wheat. Flavor is slightly sweet and a hint of sour lemon. Not much aftertaste. Refreshing but not remarkable.

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of gummballs, some yeast, some wheat, but overall quite light. Flavour is bubblegum, lemon, slight sourness, wheat. Quite thin body.

Hazy yellow beer, white head. Fresh, slightly sour aroma, wheat, yeast, fruity, some sweets (zuurtjes) and spices. Sweet sour flavour, wheat, cheap sweets (zuurtjes), some lemon. Not my favourite.

75cl Bottle at DRBM. Hazy golden colour, white head. It’s a decent fruity and spicy tripel, nothing more, nothing less.
