Red-brown colour. Nice subtle cherry note, with a vinous character and just hints of tartness. Solid.

Hazy tan. Thin head. Buttery and bitter. I mean the leafy hops are nice and all but obviously the diacetyl has no business being there. Now, I am aware that I tested a 4 out of 5 on the diacetyl sensitivity scale, so even among people who know what diacetyl is, most wouldn't find it in this beer. But that's why you always need to hire someone who's a 5 out of 5 to do your QA.

Hazy blonde. Nice buggy character. Refreshing wheat. A little vinous - actually the description doesn't indicate barrel time but lots of wine barrels kicking around this brewery so it wouldn't surprise me. Yeah, this hits the balance really well. Some of the potential I've seen in the barrel stuff is starting to find its sea legs now. Probably the best beer I've had here to date.

Murky, dullish amber. Thin head. Light yeast, bretty, and there's light fruitiness, too, on the nose. A bit vinous. Tastes better than it looks. Kind of yeasty, but yeah, one of those beers where the idea is awesome, execution just sort of okay.

Hazy and sort of dull. A touch lighter colour than Lotan's Maw, which otherwise looks similar. No head. Tart. Nice wheaty taste, refreshing, has some good bugs in there. I can dig this.

Thin haze on a dull blonde body. Medium head. Nice dryish brett, subtle, good barrel character, with a slightly sweet malt kiss. This has a fairly brisk carbonation in the finish that brings everything together - so much more than if it was flat and sticky. So the bitterness and carbo complement the beer well.

Billed as a barrel-fermented lagerish kveik thing, I probably should have known better. Barrel-fermented means early exposure to bugs, some of which aren't good. Hazy dull blonde. Thin head. Too sweet. Sticky, overly phenolic, lots of diacetyl. It's not entirely undrinkable, so a bit like the Lithuanian farmhouse stuff that way, but really, it's a mess.

Chestnut brown. Hazy. Just a thin head. Aroma is toasty, with light fruity hop. On the palate, it's sweet and fruity. The kveik makes more of an impression than the hops. A bit of toffee and toast. I don't mind sweeter examples, and while the balance seems odd for Black IPA, it's a solid beer. More of a kveik porter I guess.

Slight haze. Dullish. Nice apple note. Light fruitiness. Okay. The elements of a graf are there, but there's no clear sense of direction. Ends up just okay...the obvious benchmark is the Four Winds one and this isn't in that league.
