Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside. No vintage listed, so I'm leaving this rating right here. Somewhat thin appearance to ghis big stout. Less than black, dark brown pout, very thin head. Whiskey fronted nose, some vanilla wafer like notes. Flavor really surprises me here. Really tasty, super flavorful with equal parts dark chocolate, smooth bourbon, and vanilla. Drinks very smooth for what it is. Less than boozy long lingering finish. Really enjoyed this. Looking forward to the maple version.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner. Dark and clean copper appearance. Excellent balance of of bran and earthy grains, rich caramel, and moderately bitter hops. Sharp front, smooth and balanced flavorful palate. Very easy drinking, an obvious requirement for me within the style that I seem to run into less and less. Overall a tasty brew here. Not surprised this made the jump from pilot series to year round lineup.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner. Somewhat cloudy copper appearance. Always love anything rye, this one leaves no shortage of the spicy character I crave. Rich malts get destroyed by rye spice. Sharp flavor. Smooth finish. Not too much going on here apart from the obvious specialty grain aspect, but an ideal brew for the rye lover in your life.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner, and rated before mcberko. Dark amd dense jet black pour with an espresso tan foam head. Mild aroma of chocolate malts, toast. Smooth and slick front, with a robust, toasty linger. Creamy oat body heavily combated by the robust character and cool almost vanilla like note. Smooth, flavorful, and very tasty porter here.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner. Juicy golden orange haze, rocky head, plenty of lacing. Biting hazy double up front, with lots of tropical fruit and stinging hops. Juicy secondary, and finishes on a fruity note. Aggressive at first, but this ends up quite mellow for an imperial, with little booze on the palate at all. Flavorful and enjoyable.

The pour is quite murky, lending the beer a dull pale brown appearance. Thin head. This just looks like it's going to be raisiny. Rich aroma is raisins, figs, peach, toffee and alcohol. Soft body. Deep fruitiness, again dates and raisins, an impression of that blackberry, lots of syrup, sticky and cut only by alcohol in the finish. Like English style and American strength.

Pale, some haze, haze some nice hop spice, decent body, a little bit of phenol - this is a thing here - but otherwise I like it and it’s a nice showcase for what can be done in BC.

Draft at the brewery. Black body. Medium head. Big maple nose. On the palate this is rich, spicy, mapley. Full body. Good balancing bitterness underpins soft chocolatey malt and a solid barrel treatment.
