Bottle, by the courtesy of Skinnyviking. Nice bottle design with a golden neck. Noisy, clear golden pour. Dissipating white head. Malty nose, very sweet. Sweet caramel taste alongside some dried fruits, metallic alcohol. Lively carbonated. Possible to drink, but far from great. (hotel room, Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Mahogany coloured beer, moderate beige head. Sweetish aroma of brown malts, treacle and liquorice. Very sweet flavour, plenty of malts, molasses, caramel, syrup and treacle.

Bottle from Super Brugsen -gold pour with an almost instantly "now you see it, now you don’t!" white head. Sweet malt dominates here, slight grass, only slight hop notes, very watery in body. Forgettable.

Tap at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Poured a dark brown colour with a reddish hue and a round glass hugging head. The aroma is malty with a little fruit. The flavour is liqourice bitter with some coffee. The palate is a little watery. Drinkable, but not a classic.

Tap at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Poured a crystal clear amber with a round glass hugging head. The aroma is all malt and the flavour is not too dissimilar. It’s medium bitter and a little yeasty too. It’s fine as a thirst quencher, but not much else.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. 2004 "vintage" - B.B. August 2005. Slightly hazy golden-amber colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with marzipan, pale malts, sweet fruits and a vinous alcohol note. Taste is heavy sweet. Full body with an oily texture. Finishes very sweet with malts and a vinous alcoholic note. Due to the ageing the alcohol has muted a bit. Keeping this beer for years has improved it. Still not a great beer.

330ml bottle, 10,5% abv, with a golden neck. Trade with Skinnyviking. Clear golden body, rapidly diminishing to a white bubbly head. No lacing. Vapour of alcohol and dried fruits. Mixed taste of almond, ripe fruits and alcohol. Sweet ending with harsh alcohol warming down the throat. A little metallic. About drinkable, could have been worse, I’ll guess (hotel room, Copenhagen, 20.03.2013).
