500mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany!), split with Matts_Property, pours dark amber with a medium tan head. Aroma of resinous hops, caramel, brown sugar and dried fruits. Flavour is beautifully balanced, with heaps of brown sugar and caramel malt, with a potent piney and resinous hop character. Certainly one of the best ambers out there.

Bottle. This is a quite special amber ale. It starts out very hoppy - in a grapefruit way. Then the malt shines through with notes of nuts and roasted stuff like chocolate. It ends bitter. Well balanced and totally drinkable.

Bottle. Incredible crisp american pale ale. Notes of orange, apricots - that sort of things. Small spiciness in the aftertaste. Very drinkable.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a huge, off-white and lasting head. Aroma is mixed grapefruity and light citrusy. Mild pinewood, grapefruity, citrusy qnd vagye peachy hoppy. Great balance on the hops contra the sweetness, bitterness and fruity impression. Smooth and elegant finish.

Great amber. MBC is two for two, so far for me, and I’d love to try more from them. Pours a deep reddish brown with a nice off-white head. The aroma is big on caramel and hops. Citrus and pine notes abound. Mildly grassy. It’s just a big mix of caramel maltiness and pine resin/orange/grapefruit hoppiness. Taste is drier than expected, a welcome change from many strong ambers. Aftertaste is all citrus rind and resin. Full mouthfeel but not outstanding in any particular way. A very easy beer to drink and to like.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours murky amber with thin copper edges and off white head. The aroma has a nice mix of spicy hops, citrus hops, floral hops and some earthiness along with a bit of malt and cherry hard candy infused crystal malts . . . yes, all of that. The taste has a quick rush of hops from floral to spicy and citrus and then it rolls into roastiness and thin veins of earthy hops. Tasty with lots going on.

Cloudy orange gold body - sediment kicked up - with a lasting head. Pleasantly hoppy aroma. Citrus with a hint of pine. Nice bready caramel malt holding things up. Taste is yeasty and dry with nearly perfect bitterness. Extremely easy to drink. I love well-made pale ales that are dry and hoppy. A very good beer. Judged against the style, this would be in the 4.3+ range.
